Redundancies: Helping you with your Severance Package

With more and more job losses the recession is beginning to have a serious impact. BMW have recently announced 850 redundancies and there will, no doubt, be many more in the car industry.

If you have been affected by redundancy we can help you negotiate the correct severance package. You will be entitled to a Basic Award, payment for your Notice Period and certain other emoluments. If you have been wrongly selected or your employer has not followed the correct procedures you may have a claim for Unfair Dismissal which could result in an additional Compensatory Award.

You may have received a Compromise Agreement that your employer wants you to sign. We can advise you on this and assist with any amendments and negotiations. Your employer usually pays for the legal work relating to the Compromise Agreement.
