Beauty Therapists Win Damages From Virgin Atlantic

Jayne Evans and Michelle Hindmarch worked in the Clubhouse Lounge at Heathrow airport as beauty therapists. They often had to give prolonged treatments by way of massage to air travellers, as a result of which they both developed repetitive strain injuries in the shoulders, wrists and back, ending their careers.

Both had to find other work, as well was requiring help with daily tasks around their homes.

Virign Atlantic had accepted liability but disputed the amount of compensation. In the event the Claimants were awarded a total of £300,430 damages in the High Court
