Elizabeth Bettes

Elizabeth is a Partner and Head of the Family Law Department at Hewetts. She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors’ Family Law Association) and therefore adopts the Family Law Protocol which promotes a conciliatory approach to issues arising from relationship breakdowns.

Elizabeth has been practicing family law since 1996 and has considerable experience in all family matters including divorce, finances, property, separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, children, CSA advice, co-habitees and domestic violence.

Elizabeth is a trained collaborative lawyer and offers collaborative law as an alternative approach to resolving disputes in family matters. Elizabeth is an advocate of mediation and negotiation in an attempt to settle matters out of court if at all possible.
